You could start by checking here...it's under Engine Forums

Hybrids A discussion forum for cars where either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx).

He means a LS1 "Convertible" not a Hatch or coupe

I haven't seen an LS1 vert, but plenty of LS1 240s. I still want to see someone drop in a 10 cylinder into a vert.

Wait....what's this I see....is that an imitation Ferrari F40 wheel?!

I found a deal on an LS1 a few weeks ago and i was thinking about picking it up and being the first. But decided not to. Good luck with the project.

I know of a guy in Ohio and guy in Tex. who both have plans to complete V8 convertibles. One is an LS guy, the other is a Ford 302.

Neither are done to my knowledge.

I've got a V8 in my garage right now as well.. But I think it's better suited to my S14... so that's my dream for next summer.

Theres another LS powered vert somewhere on here. The process should be the same as an LS swap into a coupe though.

I am SOO subscribed to this!
I am still considering this for my new vert, I was worried about the frame stiffening and structual rigidity being a problem. Over at silviav8forums there is all the information you need. I say go for it! How much did you pick up the engine for?
