Take a look at this conversion. I'm not sure if it's something that someone actually did or if someone photoshopped it... I think that it's original and I'd be up for some more information about it if someone knows anything!

We've had a few threads on this subject and these two cars always get shown. Please, keep any pics of that second car far away. It's a hideous examply of some horrible redneck backyard body work. The first pic (the one that always starts these threads was an advert for a japanese kit. I have no idea if it's still sold though...

It is sold but it's hard to get and BIG $$$$ It's made by SCRE and that is their only product last time I checked.

what are those side fenders on/above the wheel well? Bomex has them too. are those part of a kit? Do they allow you to have a wider tire?

me like!

Also, I wonder if I can play with that car with Photoshop. it sure would make a pretty desktop.

well, in ways both are correct. the 180sx was released in Japan as our 240sx hatchback. Their the same chassis with different engines and a few other differences.... I've though, just out of shear originality to look into doing this conversion (waaaayyyy down the road though) I don't have any where near the money to start something like this nor do I have the tools. But I really like it and I think that if it would be done cleanly and possibly designed to follow the lines of the car well would look very nice! If I ever get around to attempting this, I'd probably make a mold and try to do it in fiberglass and design it a little different than the 280z to make it follow the 240's body lines better (much like the first picture that I posted).......... but anyway, that's my rant of the evening. Enjoy drooling over the pic, and I might attempt some photoshopping of the pic for usse as a wallpaper a little later (probably not till after Christmas) Happy driving!

It looks as they made/fabricated a 240SX hood to work with the kit in the first one, and they forced a 280ZX hood onto a 240SX in the 2nd one.

Look at the angle/lines around the headlights.

fix the dents, properly fit the hood and paint it a new color with a matching wing (u cud leave the wing out) and the Coupe will look good. It just looks thrown together now....

but the fastback is the greatest

looks decent on the hatch but the coupe needs more curves in the rear for it to have a more balanced look. It aint worth it. Cmon guys were not on that civic/integra/rsx barely show no go stuff are we. For the money youd spend to make it a complete package Id opt for a 240z with a zz4.

Yes, it's the red S13 HB with the Z front end.

Veyr hot car. Every 240 owner drools over that car. Isnt it called the 240ZX? And yes, it's a body kit that costs a lot of money. The body panels of the Z do not fit the 240SX from what I've been told. The kit ios one tha resembles the Z. The second coupe I saw in person, fugly thing.

as much as I like it... well, I don't like it enough to spend 3k on it... but if I did it all custom fabing... maybe.... and add some things that make it different from those..... that'd be fun.... but many years down the road.....
