Has anyone Scotchguarded their interior? Also, is black interior a lint magnet?

I've had my 2010 Black Rogue now for about 3 weeks. I only drive it to work and home(about 5 miles each way) and don't put the windows down. I am the only one in it as well, so no passengers in the other seats. I've vacuumed out the interior once already, right after I got it.

I washed the Rogue yesterday and wiped down the dash with some Meg's Interior Detailer. I noticed that the black interior, mostly the seats and cloth on the console/armrest and on the door panels seems to have a lot of lint....I realize this is more noticeable with a black interior, but my company car also has a black interior, I haven't vacuumed that in months, and it doesn't show any lint. Both have black fabric interior, but the Rogue's seems to be a lint magnet. Anyone else having this problem?

Any way to fix this besides just vacuuming constantly? If there is nothing I can do, I'm considering seat covers to cover up the linty fabric.

Also, has anyone scotchguarded their interior? I see that there is Auto Scotchguard now and regular Scotchguard. Is it the same thing, only charging more for Auto?

Thanks!!!

Not only that, but the dashboard is a dust magnet too. Good to keep around a swiffer duster around.

Also dust & lint on black cloth is a pet peeve of mine too. I don't have black fabric seating but I know what you mean.

Seat Covers would definitely be a good idea.

I scotchguarded everything (including the cargo area) the week I got it. Used about two cans of the stuff. Purchased in the automotive department but don't recall if it was regular or "auto" ScotchGuard. So far satisfied with the results. Plan to reapply every year.

I actually don't notice the lint at all on mine. Granted, this is the first black-interior car that I've owned, or that has been in the family, so I have nothing to compare it to but rentals. (None of my friends' cars have black interiors either come to think of it...)

ive got the entire carpet scotch-guarded

there is lint everywhere inside my Rogue..even more visible on the leather...on the door sill I wipe it down in the morning and its back there in the evening, also ontop of the headrests, sides of the seat, ontop of the steering wheel, the guages, everywhere...I just wipe it down with a microfiber cloth

Ok, thank God I'm not crazy or anything and other people are having this black interior lint/dust problem....I could understand maybe if it was just on the driver's seat, since maybe the lint is coming off of my clothes or something.......but the passenger seat, where no one has been, and the backseat, where no one has been? Where is this freakin' lint coming from? It's ALWAYS there, even after trying to vacuum it up. Might not bother some people, but I'm seriously OCD about my car and this is aggravating.

Like I said, the company car has black interior seats(an 09 Pontiac Vibe), and this is NOT an issue. I just don't understand it with the Rogue....guess seat covers will be ordered soon

Although my interior is black... I Scotchguard EVERYTHING in my interior. And I do mean everything! Carpet, floor mats, seat covers, cargo area, cloth inserts on the door panels... and the headliner. NET: No cloth or fabric surface in my interior was left unsprayed. I laid it on heavy and brushed it in.

Took 5 cans. (Purchased at Home Depot)

Warning: Wear a respirator or do it outside with all the doors an windows open so you have adequate ventilation. Also, mask off any plastic surfaces. Scotchguard can etch the plastic if left on for too long. I kept a rag handy and quickly wiped off any overspray.

5 cans? Wow. I bet that's a record.
