We got the tan interior in our new versa. We really like it (nice change from the last several cars with grey). The problem is, it seems like it would stain very easily and show dirt quickly. I bought a can of 3M Scotchgard to spray the seats, carpet, and mats. Have any of you guys done this? Anything special I should know? Thanks.

I have yet to ScotchGuard my interior, but I intend to. Just follow the directions on the can, you'll be fine.

Well, I did it tonight. If you decide to do yours, do it in a WELL ventilated area! It smells really strong going on, but once it dries the smell goes away. You need a good 12 hours for drying. You'll also need two cans. The one can I had was just enough to do the seats (barely). I'll need another can to do the floor mats and cargo area.

I scotchguarded my interior the day I picked it up. I followed the directions on the can and it worked great. Don't use the upholstry protector on the carpet or it will make a white powder mess.

I used 2 cans for the upholstry and one can for the carpet.

Hi Mike. You kinda lost me. Do you mean that you bought two different products? What were they? I just bought the regular 3M Scotchgard and I was planning to do everything with it.
