I just got a hold of a pair of H3 Silverstars (my buddy is a rep) and I want to replace the STOCK fog lights on my new M45 ...

Has anyone done this yet ? Any detailed descriptions ? I've done this in the past on other cars, but I'm unfamiliar with doing it on the M ...

I don't wanna screw anything up !

Thanks in advance !

1.) Remove the fender protector.2.) Disconnect the fog lamp connector3.) Remove nuts and slide fog lamp out of front bumper area.4.) Turn the palstic cap sounterclockwise adn unlock it.5.) Unlock the retaining spring and remove the bulb from the fog lamp.6.) Install in Reverse order.

Never touch the bulb of a halogen or HID lamp.

Hmmm ... is it H3 for fog lights or high beam? I thought it was H1 for the fog lights (but I may be wrong!)

H1 is for high beams on FY33. On Y34, high beam is a 9005. Manual confirms this.__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

maxnix - thanks for the instructions !!! Hopefully, I'll be able to do it myself -- do I need any special tools ??

And, the H3's are correct, right ??

Oops! I should have RTFM'ed the M45 service manual. The fog light is listed as a 55 Watt H3 and the high-beam is listed as a 60 Watt HB3 or #9005 (but not H1 - where did you get your info, Brian?).

I certainly would not recommend changing the low-beam on an M45, of course! They are HID Xenon's already. :)

BTW, Brian, which is the FY33 ... I know the Y34 is the M45 designation.
