its seems like a brilliant Ideabut I havent factored in the costs and the amount of effort.

it would require replacing the turbine and compressor wheel, adding on a new compressor housing. and BANG!

bigger compressor A/R, and more boost pressure.how come no one is doing this?

here is an examplehttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

An FP Big 28 is the same thing.

Personally, I'm against it. You get the slightly larger 28 housings and wheels, but you lose the spool characteristics of a ball bearing center cartridge.

A buddy of mine send his t25 turbo to some turbo shop in Ohio. The turbine and the ball bearing wheel are made from the uk. Total price was 500+ shipped about a 3 week process.

the FP big28 spools at 3000 rpm... hm that could be a less expensive option for a lot of people.

It if I could fine the right parts numbers, and housings it would be a great thing to try myself.

I couldnt see it as a heavy duty turbo that can take a lot of abuse but it could be more fun then the t25.

especially - while I save up for a topmount
