Don't do it there's a long list of reasons not to get a eBay IM

Ok what about a name brand IM on NA setup. There's just better things to spend my money on for now huh?

I know you want just to rock a stock KA and squeeze as much HP as you can out of it but for the money of 2K between cams, IM, header, exhaust, lighten flywheel (if manual)and even a 1p driveshaft your still going to be really slow for the money.
It's either boost or nothing basically to be cut and dry buddy but don't get me wrong I LOVE my na KA with just the few mods that I have on there

you can make your stock one like that just take out the butterflys and re run the hoses..

That's essentially what I did, actually. I'm pretty happy with mine.

I highly recommend NOT using the knock offs. My buddy just put one in and ran into every fitment issue you could come across. Took him like 10 hrs of drilling grinding fabbing to het everything to fit right.

Stock manifold is really good for N/A applications, nice long runners.

BUT THE HORRIBLE CASTING FLASH, oh mah lawdey, have to be taken care of.

Good job save your pennies..:lolling: , but idk if your running it like I am in my car. I did the emissions delete pretty much the whole thing and had to re route a bunch of vac lines and cut the butterflys out of the manifold. it made my car run a hell of alot better, but only problem is i had to readjust the idle. what mods are you running with it?

haha I did a full emissions delete as well. No butterflys and did plenty of vacuum line deletion and rerouting. OBX 4-2-1 header, wiseco hi-comp pistons, BC stg 2 cams, injen intake, and elec fan conversion. How about you?

Why does everyone delete the butterflies? O.o

Not like it's an emission item, mine were stuck open and there was no low end at all.

haha well, for me, it was just cheaper. They actuating valve for them was destroyed and they were stuck open. So, no point in having the added restriction of them being there if it won't operate. And, I had to do a full rebuild on the motor, so I already had the manifold off.

Besides being made of aluminum poo, on a stock N/A set up you'd lose some low end torque and barely gain a few ponies up top.
Definitely not worth it until you spend $$$ on everything else first to make her faster! And get a better version than that paper weight.

I wouldn't bother with that manifold you'd drop lowend torque and barely gain up top. I would do cams before I did that.

I wouldn't remove the butterflys either as long as they work unless your going a full on N/A drag build. Low-end torque is your friend, especially on the street.

My car made some serious power for still having a stock IM, they are not that bad in stock form for flow.. and if you still want to make peak #s around the same rpm span as stock the stock one is okay.
The biggest gains I got were from a ported and polished head, custom 2" primarys header into a 3" exhaust, 248/248cams, being able to run 75psi through the injectors.
Leave the IM for the last thing you do.
