they have 260hp at the rear wheels...would be a tight race. If they have any mods I don't think we could hang.

could be a NOOB question, but the new 2007s are 306hp, aren't they? Is it just a model year's difference, or does "at the rear wheels" infer a different measurement than the 306 I've heard?

yeah, i think we can hang with the new GT, but the GT is faster than us, so it will eventually pull away...

I have raced a '93 Cobra, and i beat it through 4th and it then pulled on me in 5th gear... lol when the girl asked me to race, i was already thinkin that i'd get raped by her... but the race turned out better than i expected... lol i guess thats what i get for having a lack of faith in the G

Those new mustangs are fast they weigh about as much as a G and have around 300HP @ 5700 RPM and 320 lb TQ , (2005 Ford Mustang GT)

scary when you here a very loud Mustang drive up to you really fast ,than hear it slowing down ...

Mustangs scare me when they are modded because the output you can get some parts for a Mustang is amazing

yeah, not to mention what you can do with gears. Mine came with 3.27 and it don't cost much to have 3.73 or more put in. I've heard it's the biggest bang for the buck.

But, as you know, there will always be somebody that has a faster car.I was leaving a car show a few years ago in my 97 cobra when I spotted an old Corvair in my rear view. It flew up on me then backed off and then flew up on me at a tremendous rate! It had a V8 stuffed in it. I didn't even think about it.
