These look really sharp, I was looking for some 4-lug for the prelude I just bought but unfortuately these are 5-lug and should fit the Q. Would smaller wheels conflict with the clearance of the rotors or calipers?

But you are a great guesser!

Which 14" tires would carry the weight of the G50, provided the rims would clear the brakes and be strong enough?

14 x 6? Yeah, the offset of 38mm works ... only because the wheel is so narrow, almost any standard offset would work!

But, there is no way you would find a tire with an appropriate load index sufficient to hold up the static weight of a Q45! Let alone dynamic loading.

Please do NOT put these on a Q45! We would all like to see you live.

If you hit a pothole on thise 14's with the weight of the car you might break a suspension component. There might be some tires that fit 14", and might be able to support the Q's weights. Check out the low rider forums for info. They run old heavy late 70's and early 80's Cadillacs, Lincolns and Chevy's on 14"s routinely. Those cars got to be heavier than the Q, but than again they may use special rims to help distribute the weight better.

Over-rated only until you hit a bump in the road or a pothole on the highway or an incomplete construction joint (happened to me on 101North on Sunday while taking my family up to San Francisco airport!)

Then the broken wheel or axle or link or shredded tire will make you feel silly, and lighter in your wallet ... as long as it is not at speed and you survive the event!

And, yes, I got the sarcasm.

Who makes a good 14" or 15" tri-star or 3-spoke wheel? You guys got any pics...they are rare on Ebay. I had a pair on my Rx7 and miss the look dearly.

You guys see anything similar to my old ones? I forget the brand, but they had a 'P' with wings on the center caps.

Oh dear god.

I recommend getting a set of Maxima rims. Specifically the 17s fro 2000+

If you pay attention you can get them for free

Tri spokes? Bleh, besides the Advan's or whatever the JDM Forged 3 piece 3 spokes I've seen are.

I guarantee you can find 14's with enough load rating. How about some 215/75-14's? That would be hot! Truck tires on a Q!!

Just kidding. Gotta ask the question, "But why???".
