ive read about every single exhaust thread and i see that different people have different meanings of what loud is. some people say the n1 is quiet while some people say its loud, and the same with the hks, some think its quiet but some think its loud

but has anyone here owned BOTH exhausts? if so could you give me your input on this?

this is for the N1 SINGLE and the HKS 65mm for NA

*****on a KA24 NA engine, not turbo

I've really haven't owned them both but I have heard a HKS catback on a NA KA before, sounds nice at idle but when you get on it it could be hella loud.same fore the N1. but the HKS sounds a little deeper and less rahspy.

With that big of an exhaust on a NA car there is no avoiding the 'loudness'

At the moment I own a Apexi dual N1 and its as quiet as can be, its on a s14sr btw.

Like you said, peoples definition of loud will differ between person to person. just goto local meets and see if you can find someone rocking the setups you are looking at.
