Ive decided to go with a swap, and I saw sr20's on japanmotorimport.com. s13 redtops with uncut wiring harness, intack manifold, injectors, exhaust manifold, cam-angle sensor starter, power streering pump, flywheel, 5-speed manual transmisson, ecu, fuel rail throttle body, turbo, alternator, a/c compressor, and clutch kit, all included for 1550 usd + shipping. Has anyone personally used these people before? This price seems quite low for a complete engine and transmission. Things too good to be true usually are. I've heard all sorts of horror stories about osakamotors.com. Last if neither one of these are reputible, does anyone know of a good place to shop.

I'm sure I'll probably get flamed for this question since I just saw the frequently asked questions section under the rwd-sr forum, sorry, but if anyone still has horror story you'll still get my undivided attention. The only one I saw gave japanmotorimport a five. For that price (1550+ship) I don't I can beat it with a big stick.

If you want my advice.... Stay away from any engine importer in Montreal, Canada. I've heard very bad things about Osaka and the others. When you do business accross borders you loose most the legal protection you have through credit card and US business law.

I would get your engine here:http://www.japanesestarmotor.c....html$1900 shipped! Plus, i've heard you can mention NICO or racebread.com and get another 5% off.. That's got to be about the same if not better than the other after shipping costs. Plus, I've heard great things about japanstar AND, they are in upstate New York.

Hope it helps... I'm just trying to lookout for fellow NICO members.

I've not dealt with that bunch before. I just got my motor (red top), transmission uncut harness , ignitor chips, maf, side mount intercooler. Silvia front end body panels, lights. and GTR grille from http://www.jdmsource.ca/v2/ for 3100 shipped to SC. The guy I dealt with (Shoib) was very helpful. He owns a pignose himself so understands many of our needs. Straight up bunch to deal with. Shipping was real fast. Gave payment and stuff arrived in about 5 days. I was very pleased with the products and service was awesome. Tell them John from Charleston SC sent ya.. definetly a good bunch to deal with. On our scale from 1 (poor) to 5 (best) .. they are a 5.
