You're right, you can paint them, but I think the blind spot would be huge. I have an a A-pillar gauge pod and the visors on my truck. It's fine for around town, but when you get on windy roads, it really gets in the way on the driver's side.timmack wrote:ive seen them and i agree with you, they look better on darker cars in my opinion. but i think theyre paintable to match the car? at least some brands are. just a thought.
I'd have to agree, to a point. Mine are definitely noticeable on the highway, but a friends has them on her 98 pathfinder, and they don't make a noise. Looking at them, it seems the manufacturer made a change. Hers go all the way to the mirror, mine have a large gap, I thought it may have been just the way I installed them, but it's not, as I've measured them. The part numbers are the same, but the visors are different.fueler wrote:The QX4 and pathfinder are designed to make almost no wind noise. Its nice and quiet in the cabin until you install these, then it sounds like youre in a hurricane whenever youre on the freeway. They make way too much wind noise.
Mine go past the mirror and they still make noiseubpsanity wrote: Hers go all the way to the mirror, mine have a large gap, I thought it may have been just the way I installed them, but it's not, as I've measured them. The part numbers are the same, but the visors are different.
Nice link!! Yes the in-channel is superior. $85 isnt bad considering i paid $45 for mine, and now the paint above the windows on all 4 doors is ruined. Its better to pay for the good stuff the first time or youll be sorry latergwhunt23 wrote:Here's the only in-channel vent visor that I've been able to come across for the QX4 and Pathfinder:

Says it'll work for 97-03 QX4 and 96-04 Pathy. Too expensive for me to try but I figured I'd share cause it's the only one I've seen that's in-channel as Fueler recommends.
