has anyone heard of safety boost?

I installed my turbo xs boost controller today i found it strange that my waste gate had been t'd off so it was open i guess? we removed the t during installation and then i drove it around hit 12 pounds then the waste gate opened up so i was like ok. did it again same thing then it started only hitting around 7 i looked this up it seems to be safety boost my detonation cable is unplugged do not know why? any ideas if this could happen after driving around a little or if it would affect me right away? and also why am i only hitting 7psi

I had this same problem which i posted about a week or two ago and it didnt seem that anyone could help with it either. I only have boost jets but they should raise it to 14, which it would boost to 14 for a few mins initially after warming up but then right back down to 7 just like you stated. I found this article online, it explains safety boost and also how a boost controller could put a tt-z into safety boost without proper modification of the wastegate solenoid. it ended up just being a huge *** boost leak lololol one of the hoses popped off the first time we hit 14psi
