Don't you just have to purchase the kit from VersaSpeed? Or is that just for prewired versas?

That is a good question. I hope versaspeed can answer that question.

it is for prewired.

you can get aftermarket fog kits with all the cables to get you up and shining.

Or just install the OEM lights and run your own wires.

Seriously... it's one wire to the dash(or wherever you have a switch), one relay to install and that's about it.

I will be installing them when I get my V in.

It's quite easy. You would bolt in the lights (you said you were not good with voltage) Then follow some simple diagrams.

something like this:http://www.r1200gs.info/howto/relay.htm ... u_e5u_58XE

It's quite simple.

If your car is not pre-wired. you will need to run a wire. If it is, that will save you a few min in the install

Do the foglights have wires coming out of them you can access or just a socket for the prewired Versas to plug into? If it's just a socket, then it seems you would need the plug harnesses to wire them yourself...

After looking at the OEM solution, the aftermarket is going to be my choice. I am having a hard time parting with 200+ bucks on something so simple.

for your aftermarket solution.

I feel the same way as you. I can order a kit off of Ebay for about $60 shipped. But for the OEM ones it's like $300.. a big difference for the same thing.

If you have the wires.. you will need the "kit" lights, bezels, and turn signal switch. ~300 bucksOR.. you can get a simple aftermarket kit and just keep rockin'

here is what I got.... loved the OEM look, didn't like the factory switch. win,win here...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors....m245

If it is prewired as my Versa S was, you will need to replace the turn signal/light stalk in order to have the built in relay energize the existing wires for the fog lights. Very easy to replace the stalk in about 10 minutes. The fogs are programmed in the computer to only work with the low beams on.

I have the OEM foglights, I like them better because they look clean and go with the car quite well.

I bought the $20 walmart kit and hooked them up to my HID's. 1hr and they are good to go.
