Has anyone fit a 9.5" wide wheel on the front of an s13 with 20mm wider fenders?

I'm ready to order my wheels for my 240. I measured a couple days ago for the wheel size and offset on the front and rear. The widest I knew I could safely run on the front was 9" wide. However, the wheels I want in 9" are only available in a 38mm offset which is way too much but the 9.5" have a 12mm offset which is almost perfect. But I don't have access to the car right now, so I come for some help. Does anyone know if a 9.5" wheel will fit on the front of an s13 with 20mm wider fenders and coilovers?

17X9.5+12 will fit under stock fender with coilovers. Just pick your tire size carefully.

Wow I didn't expect that they would, especially under the stock fenders. I should be alright with my 20mm fenders then. Thanks!

Actually, if you plan to stick with those 20mm, you may want to run spacers. Either that or nice, fat rubber...

Yeah I won't be running stretched tires. If I have to put a small spacer in there to make it flush I have no problem with that.

I run 255/40/17 nt01 on 17x9.5+18 fyi, it fits under stock fenders just some mashing of stock fenders required, you'll be fine, i think u may need a slight spacer with a 20mm thats for sure.

Whoa... I'm sorry for the threadjack, but I need input now... I know you're really active in Zilvia's Maximum Rubber thread, and I was curious if you would mind double checking my fitment plan.

17x9.5+12 245/40/1718x10+20 265/35/18

I want this under stock s13 fenders with GR+ Pro's. I'm not scared of rolling/pulling, but I'd rather not pull the fronts as front pulls that I've seen look terrible. Think I can do it? Or should I go with a slightly higher offset up front?

Have you seen mr.greeneyes' car?

He's rockin' 245/45 up front with I think the same offset.

Ergo... even though you're question was directed to a_ahmed, I think 245/40 would tuck nicely.

Dizzamn! Nah, I've never seen close ups of his car. I didn't have the patience to read his super long thread on my slow home pc and my work pc blocks pictures...

But thanks for the info!

I'm going to assume those are 18x9.5+20.

Now that I think of it, I have seen 275's all around on an s13. I had forgotten all about Mestizo's car. He runs 275 Nitto (NT01's, I think) on 17x9.5+17 MB Weapons with stock fenders...

I guess it's doable...maybe if you go with 275/35/18's and pick a tire brand that is known to run small (like Nitto, for example) and don't plan on slamming the suspension...

thank you very much simmode1 but no there 15+ offest and im not very slammed at all with my other 18"s i had about 1-1.25 inch room in the front and .5-1 in back, ill end up getting better coilovers later to have that perfect stance.

thank you very much again

here is the old 18`s with 7.5 front(225/35) 9.5 back(245/35)with no spacers

back tire close up to show how much room( not slammed)

I was wondering why you didn't get the 18x10 Grids, but now I see! I didn't realize these were available in 4 lug!

Where'd you get them & what did they cost, if you don't mind me asking?

Thats not a bad price!

I wonder if they can get Rota's harder to find 18x10 sizes in different models. A lot of venders seem to have a hard time getting the 18x10 sizes in whatever style...

Aww man! Don't sweat that! With that offset & wheel/spoke design, those Grids will clear Z brakes with ease. See how the spoke move awayfrom where the calipers will be?

You'll be fine... but if not, a 3mm spacer should fix whatever issue might pop up.

Edit: Here you go. If you squint, I think you can see Z brakes in there...

i have 9.5X18 +12 Volks in the front and they are not fitting very well at all, they rub on the bottom of the stock fender, do u guys think a fender roll and a harness tuck will sort out any issues or will i have to pick up some 15 mm overfenders? The tires are 235/35/R18

This. Plus maybe a little negative camber. Don't wimp out with overfenders.
