Rear speaker brackets for S13 Hb. It allows use of 6.5's in the rear. If someone has used them...Will factory speaker cover still fit?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWD1V

Thanks for your attempt at helping but that template is for the FRONT speakers and I have already done that. Those brackets I'm asking about are for the REAR speakers.

you should just go ahead, buy it, and report to us (its only 20+ dollars :D)

even though a rear fill is unnecessary for stereo listening

Do what I did, and just not have rear speakers. Rear speakers are useless. The only time that rear speakers are useful is when you're trying to entertain rear seat passengers. That being said, if you have rear seat passengers the last thing they'll be complaining about is not being able to hear the music.

Save your money, save your weight, just delete the rear speakers. There will be no question about speaker fitment, or if the factory grille will still fit.

Wow I should of kept my civic. At least I could get straight up answers to my questions on the honda boards. You sir are an idiot...Save your weight????? Wow the 4lbs 2 speakers might add. That might just keep me out of the 11's huh. Would someone "WHO HAS USED THESE BRACKETS" answer my question.

I guess none of you have ever worked for an audio shop or git into it pretty deep. Rear speakers produce rear fill which can bring out different sounds from the music your listening to. Stereos can also be tuned.

DRU-even though a rear fill is unnecessary for stereo listening lofapoo-rear speakers are usless

I was simply giving you an option which involves zero questioning, and in return I get name-calling

Yep, you should have definitely kept your Civic.

I said what I said b/c of your comment. I don't have rear speakers now so your option has already been taken and I don't like it.

I have to second it, I don't know much about speakers, but I do know about my friends kicking me in the back anytime I give them a ride, lol.

I haven't used them myself, but I saw pics and they do not allow you to retain the factory cover. They sit about a quarter to a half inch too high. I think if you want a 6.5" speaker, your best bet is to grind or cut the hole a little bigger. I just went ahead and bought a 4" with the beefiest magnet I could find... Good luck.
