Well, the 240sx is a bottom breather so I understand the reason for a top 'cooling panel' Unless the under panel forces the air to go between the front of the panel and the bumper, it probably doesnt do more than add 10mins to your oil change.

I can't really tell, but it looks like there is a hole there to access the bolt to the oil pan. I would want a skid plate for pratical purposes though, being lowered means you're more likely to drive over some debris that might hurt the front undercarriage.

And why the hell are top cooling panels so freaking expensive? I mean.. c'mon... some places want like $100

Hmm, I think youre right Sky.

If they want $100 for the top panel, imagine how much the lower panel would cost...

Some company named "Rising Works" sells good looking skid panels on ebay for about $80, I've been thinking about picking one up.

I agree with Sky on the top panels, $100 is hella steep for something like that.

the smoother the bottom of your car is, the cleaner the airflow will be.

just like a formula one car. and yes, i will reduce drag and help with downforce.

from searching ebay i see that there is a guy that makes them and sells them for much less than brand name crap. since all it is is an aluminum piece bent and cut to fit there, i dont understand why you would pay for more...

Look around for the cheap ebay one ( I believe the guy is in texas). I got mine for $50 shipped to my door. It looks exactly like the one you pictured and is great quality. Top panel that is.

just bend your own aluminum pieces and drill holes to mount them like its shown in the picture..why would you pay 200 or even 50 dollars for some bent up piece of aluminum?
