has anyone ever reused a cosworth head gasket?

i only torqued down the head once and started the motor for about an hour and i ran into a problem so i had to remove the head again...i heard of people reusing a cometic hg...can i reuse this one since it was barely used? thanks

i'd like to know this as well because I need to pull the head and put a little rtv around the front cover area because it seeps oil.

Any MLS head gasket can be reused, as long as it's in good shape. Be sure to give it a good coat of copper spray first.

As long as it's a quality gasket which Cosworth is, use the copper spray and you should be good. I reused my Apexi head gasket and it held 8% leakdown after the reinstall

May work but for the price of the Cosworth it may be cost effective enough to not take the chance and just get a new one. Either way, you will probably be fine :D
