Has anyone ever painted these rims?

They're the stock Chinook rims, not sure what other models they came with. Just curious what they'd look like in a gunmetal or charcoal color.

I'm jealous. I have the same rims, and they look a lot worse than yours.I'm also interested in what others have to say about painting them.(Hope you don't mind if I piggyback on your thread).

I have not seen them painted before. Those are the wheels on my SE. Never liked them. Only difference is mine came with chrome centercaps. I am not sure if painting would make them look any better. Gunmetal grey might. Would be nice to see them painted.

Find a truck with those wheels on it and post it here and then it shouldn't be hard to photoshop the color. I'm sure someone in here has the skills to do that.

@ Buzzman: I think that rim is the pick of the litter lol. I know for sure the rest have some scuffs and scratches.

I'll get a pic of the truck up later today, that would be sweet if someone could photoshop it.

My wheels were pretty spotless until the last 2 winters. When I purchased the vehicle new, I had the wheels rebalanced with wheel weights on the back. It is the constant wheel weights/changing that destroy the clear coat on these wheels. I have zero curb rash. If anyone wants to buy these beauties let me know. The original Bridgestone tires are starting to get some checks/cracks in them and not sure I will use them again for winter.

Let me tell you guys, if you want them better make me an offer ASAP. I am sure these wheels will sell quicker than OEM Toyota Accelerator Pedals.

Have been wanting to unload my 17x8.5 Konig NRN's, but I am thinking I would rather use them for winter over the OEM wheels.

If anyone is seriously interested I will post pics.

Ok, so here's my truck:

If anybody has some spare time to photoshop the wheels to some kind of gunmetal grey, I would really appreciate it. If not, no biggie. I might end up just doing it and hoping for the best. What's the worst that could happen?
