has anyone ever had this??

ok i was driving and all of a sudden my stick shift drops like 2-3 inches and starts making this machine gun type clacking/clicking noise. i puled over jacked up the car and found no problems undernieth. so i held the shifter up and tried to drive and performed normal but if i dropped it it would clank.the next day i took out the center consol, the boots, shift knob, etc. until i came to a plate with four screws that the shifter goes through and the boot goes over k well inside that plate is a rubber bracket that the shifter bolts onto to hold it up. well the problem is that the center of the rubber bracket completly broke making my stick fall onto my driveshaft therefor resulted in the clicking. nissan is aking 70 bucks for this little part so i was oping somone might have a part car and sell me it for hopefully cheap.
