I ask as kind of an example of what it might take to turn my Skyline into a vert. I have never seen one but the reason is likely because it is a serious feat of engineering and monetary expense. Does anyone still sell the mechanicals of the 240 vert, maybe they could be used as a base and modified to fit.

you're best bet is to go to a junkyard and find an S13 with the top portion intact. From there it's a lot of cutting, welding, money, cussing, bending, money, wiring, cussing, and electrocution. Did I mention money

Yea but a skyline as a vert....money is not an issue here.Pure hotness. In all reality it shouldn't be that hard.Hardest part is going make it flush with the back when it's up.(Going to be countless hours of trial and error here)Also if there is adequate space for it to fold down and not look weird. Why not just make it a t top?Think I'm going to do it to my 240...

It'll fold like a taco.

ASC did some MAD bracing on the S13 to make it a vert.

You'll have to weld quite a few supports to make your car's structure be safe.Just put rool bar and make a zip up top that you can unzip fold and put in the trunk. With rollbar you keep frames stability.

I was thinking Targa top but that would be the wussie way out, no balls to hack the b-pillars. I don't have the money or skill to do it right but the idea continues to intrigue me.

The 300z is a chode of a car. Not that i dont love em, caus i do. But they are short and fat and the 240 would be a better fit for it.

it is feasible. there is a diagram around here that shows where they welded. i bet if you you did something like that you could weld in extra bracing or add a roll cage. i have thought about doing this.
