I was thinking about getting a sound system for my Z but since there isnt really enough room for a sub or two in the car (since the trunk is so small) i was thinking about taking out the spair tire under the false turnk bottom and putting a sub in that spot. Has anyone ever done this before? Any suggestions on this or anything?

It's been done plenty of times. I dunno about on Z's, but it has been done on other cars.

There's plenty of room for a 10 in the car if you glass it into the quarter-wells, or even behind the rear Strut tower bar. I've done probably 50+ amp/subs in Z's, and I've found that 1 sub is PLENTY of bass in this tiny little car.

If anything, buy a nice (I repeat NICE, not cheap-***) 4 channel amp and throw a nice (see note above) set of components and some JL audio 6 1/2" subs in the rear speaker spots. Don't skimp on your equipment and you'll be impressed at what it'll do for ya HTH, YMMV
