so after deciding that fwd was a waste of time i find that i got a gtir sr20det. can i put it in a 240. i've had a couple people tell me yest its the same engine and a couple people say no because the intake manifold and throttle body is pointing the opisite direction than needed which would be towards the fire wall, which if that is the case then why not just make piping to go above the engine because i am going to have a top mount intercooler so i'll have extra clearance with the hood. so is it possible or not????

I'm not too sure about the drivetrain mechanics, but I think the way the motor mounts essentially makes it a fwd layout, even if it does have AWD.

I'm thinking it wont work.

I remember reading something about this a while ago, and i remember reading that it wont work, but i don't really remember exactly why.
