has anyone decked their ka iron block?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Granted my engine is not an "e" but I during the rebuild I had it decked. Not for warpage reasons but to prep it for a cometic head gasket. What else do you want to know about the process?

why would you not be able to deck an iron block? thats what all engines were... hot rodders/ engine builders/ remanufacturers have all been doing it for ever. And hey a ka pics up 100 whp from that alone... lol seriously NO it wont but its a good idea to deck the head and block that have been overheated.
