if an RB can fit, i imagine a JZ would too... but why, when the RB25DET is much closer to "bolt-in" (according to those who've actually done it)?

reminds me of the SR20-powered FD i saw online a few days ago... great car (*ducks flying objects*), great motor, but that doesn't mean they should go together.

just my thoughts...

one of the main consideration is cost for the 1jz also the stregth of the motor on stock internals. cost would be nearly half that of a rb enigne for me

What was the CC of the slant 6?? A Mopar 240...lol. That would definitly be different. Alot of people say the slant 6 was one of the better engines ever made to include the Hemi...

Meggs, quite screwin around an build a RB30DET. If I had access to as many RB30's as you did I would have built one 4 years ago.

I think I could line up at least three buyers here in Okinawa, WD can likely get a few more, are they RB30ETs or RB30Es? Can you get it to Naha port in Okinawa? If so how much or what would you like in exchange?

basically the rb 30et's and e in the series 2 are the same they have the holes for the oil lines these motors are just the bottom half of the motor below the the head if you want a complete one with the single cam head they cost more allot more.there is quite a bit involved with getting the motors out they need to be packed and cleaned unlike a sealed engine.you would probably need to find pistons of a lower comp ratio if the motors are n/a and rb 25 or 26 ones fit. if you order more than 3 the price comes down and more than 6 it comes down even more. shippping would be fob which mean you pay for the shipping at your end I would get you a quote b4 any orders.3 engine go into a cubic meter as a guide for you think 4-700 for a cubic meter shipping I have no real idea to be honest.but can find out If you choose to do this it would take a couple fo weeks b4 they are shipped. and then its a couple weeks on the boat b4 you do any thing though check any import duties and tariff at your end cause It heard can be nasty price wise.I wont start the ball rolling till I recieve a deposit. I 've had a number of people blow alot of wind but still no taker as WD know's I've been around the scene for a while I do send stuff round australia quite a bit and I have had no complaintsthink about it I'm not all talk I can and will deliver.meggala

btw that goes for any parts people want I will tell you straight up yes or no if I can get them and I will ship any where

just need short blocks, don't have a use for the SOHC heads, I already have paperweights on my desk. I will confer with my crew and see what the interest is. It wouldn't be too soon as we are all knee-deep in projects at the moment, I will probably be the pointman on this. I will hit you up when I finish the research and we are ready with deposits.

I'm out of the Skylines for now fella's. Most of the crew I used to race with has left the island. I'll ask around, but most of the new guys just buy a GTR or a Supra with they're insanly high reanlistment bonus. I hate them....

Meggs, why don't you just use a hood scoop?? I would...

Wouldn't mind having a 1jz or 2jz in a MKIII.

Would wether have a RB26 in a 240 but I would love to see a 1jz in a 240. That is about the only makes I wouldn't mind interchanging, Toyota and Nissan.

You would probably run into the same problems as swapping a RB26 in our LHD cars... i am pretty sure (at least most) 1jz's are twin turbos. That just eats up a ton of room. Since yours is probably RHD the twins are going to be on the same side as the steering and may contact the shaft (same as we would with a RB26 i think). I'm sure with a a31 crossmember in the 240 you could probably get your engine low enough... but i'm not sure. You are most likely going to run into the same problems with the 1jz in an A31. I am not sure on all of this... but that is my 2 cents. Hope it helps!
