I heard about this place from a friend at work. We are planning on going there in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone else has been there. From what I've seen, its fairly new and most of the pics/videos have some sort of higher end car but I still intend on showing up in my S13.

I sorta doubt many have been there yet as I believe it literally just opened. For those interested, it's located in upstate NY west of Albany. I didn't notice many car clubs reserving it yet, so I'm not sure how completed it actually is. Im sure once one of clubs I work with rents it, I'll visit and try it out.

I didn't think they were letting cars on the track, only bikes last I heard but that could have changed.

Everyone you come across will want a motorcycle at least once in their lifetime. Whether they just turned 17 and got their license or they’re 35 and want an extra thrill in life. For those that take on the endeavor, when that motorcycle arrives like a wrapped gift on Christmas, they’re going to take it for a ride! This is how accidents and even worse, deaths occur. People with misled perceptions about motorcycles and their capabilities get amped up early and find themselves in the recovery room. The reason – no one ever taught them how to ride.

Proper training and respect for the road will bring about peripheral awareness, limit target fixation, and give those yearning for a thrill the ability to keep themselves alive and enjoying it. We’ve seen too many people perish who are family, friends, acquaintances, and even those who serve our country - and the only way we can limit this is to provide the most thorough and enjoyable training possible in a secluded environment that simulates real life road conditions.

Only 2.5 hours outside of NYC and 15 minutes from Oneonta resides the New York Safety Track. Here, you will learn everything you need to know about motorcycles to make sure you’re ready for the road by thinking with your head instead of your throttle. The 2.1 mile, 450 feet of elevation change track, has a private training school taught by professionals for all skill levels ranging from beginner to expert. These classes will help you master your motorcycle and take control of your environment.

Def sounds like a bike only thing. The track might not even be wide enough or built to withstand weights of cars so they may not let you on there at all.

*EDIT* Digging around their facebook page they do have some pics of cars on the track, though they make no specific mention of it. :gotme

If you glance at their calendar, there are a couple of days reservd for a Ferrari owners club, but not much else besides bikes.

If you go to their calendar and click on the members track day, you'll see you can sign up with a car.

I think what you might be looking at is the track's own version of HPDE (high performance driver ed). Sounds like they're literally just getting started, so it seems likely that very few people, including Nissan owners have ever tried it yet. I didn't notice the prices.

it was $50 for a basic membership and $290 for the day. I'll post pics and maybe videos when I go.
