As the title says, has anyone actually tried the XTD clutch before bashing it? Every video I have watched on youtube of a stage 3 clutch has seemed perfect.

I would personally probably replace the throwout bearing it comes with for an OEM, and just use my stock flywheel but resurface it...
Thoughts, opinions.

Friends clutch, this was a stock KA. I don't think they break like this often. Its sort of hit and miss with them.

I have had a act clutch in my 240 (sr) a xtd in my 96 200sx and a Tennessee clutch in my 200sx.as well. I personally think the Tennessee clitch is the smoothest in transition and holds quite well (17 psi) Tennessee was 150 shipped. The xtd held well but was very choppy starting off. Just my. 02$

The last time I went to Parris raceway. a guy with a s13 coupe, and welded diff, was tearin the s*** out of the track. For a stock KA I was really suprised how well the car was doin and he kept chirping second( ive never been able to XD...) and asked him what type of clutch he was using. He said it was an ebay clutch, the XTD stage 3 clutch. And He SO CLAIMED he had it for over a year.... :gotme
I also read that the stage 1 and 2 Clutch discs break. But i wouldnt even waste my time with a stage 1. The pressure plate is the same for the stage 2 and 3. Dont know about the stage 1... The stage three they just add a 6 puck disc.

Ummmm.... thats an F1 clutch. Its exactly the same the same in the photo below. XTD makes mostly red and white clutches.

i put an f1 in my friends rb20 (not by any recomendation from me) and it seems to be doing fine. i dont know what stage coz he just bought it and offered me 200 to put it in. i personally have an act, the extreme race disc and the heavy duty pressure plate for better engagement (and longer hydrualics life lol) and i love it. fairly smoothe and HOLDS ANYTHING. combo is rated to like 450ft lbs tq or something but i honestly cant remember

I run one. I bought one from a guy who said it was a SPEC clutch, I always try to avoid most of the ebay brands. But it looked decent so I went ahead and used it.

I have a ACT 4 puck unsprung on the XTD flywheel and its awesome. No clutch chatter at all, and the clutch works well so the car moves. Not much more to say I guess. They market them at 13 lbs I believe, mine weighed just over 15 lbs. Not a huge deal though. I recommend them.

I ran an XTD "stage 3" (the unsprung hub, 6 puck) in my Spec-V for about 6 months before selling the car. I beat the s*** out of it, and it NEVER complained. The jerkiness smoothed itself out after a few hundred miles. I cut consistant 1.9 sixty foot times on street tires with it. I probably put 100 passes on it. It was still holding strong when I sold the car. I will be buying another for my built slut here soon.
