I would stay away from Guge after hearing one too many bad stories about them. Once they sent back a cleaned up stock cam as a performance cam, probably more than just once.

EDIT: http://www.angelfire.com/pop/nizmo240/index2.html

that guy highly recommended them. said it was the best mod he did....?

sorry about that :-) too many links to keep track of....

Performance:Of all the performance products I have purchased, I would recommend Gude headers...it felt like it gave me a great jump especially above 4500 RPM. I wouldn't recommend buying it full price though, I got mine used for $150...haha!

hey, I bought a gude cam back in 96. That was my first mod to my motor. There was a definate feel in performance. After 4000 rpm the motor kicked A$$. Me and my buddy used to race to work all the time, he had a jeep grand (dont laugh it was just for fun). He would get me when I hit 3rd, after the cam install I would walk away from then on. The only bad thing is the install of shims on your valve stems. Over the years, I ended up wearing the shims down very thin. Now, gude has gone to a different shim. there suppose to be stronger. My motor has 200K on it now. She's pretty worn.

I have the gude header on my 92, bought back in 99, still going strong and works well, 4 into 1 design.

226 sounds like a stock grind, does anyone have the specs on the stock KA cams?

I know SOHC grinds: .407" lift and 228 duration. I believe Gudes SOHC was .500" lift and 228 duration, so basically the valves opened farther, but did not stay opened any longer. Now my Nismo cam is .402" lift with a whopping 270 rotation. Talk about a radical cam. There is so much overlap i got the Super AFR to buffer the incoming air flow meter signal so the car wouldnt stall out. But talk about power! (of course im still waiting, after 3 months of rebuilding my engine, to start the damn thing!)

so, clear this up for me. The nismo Hi-Performance Cam (.402"/270 Degrees) is NOT the 91' exhuast cam??? &Does anyone know if Jim Wolf has a more aggressive cam(E256 / I248 .422) for the Ka24e? which is the better cams out of these 2?

no. the nissan motorsports high performance cam is for the E engine. the S13 dohc exhaust cam only applies to the DE engine.

just a note, it isn't just the 91 exhaust cam. it applies to all S13 DOHCs (91-94).
