I have a subwoofer I am going to put in the trunk, all i need now is an amp and cables. I just don't know how i am going to get a nice clean way of getting the amp cables from the cars battery, all the way to the trunk without making a mess. I contacted crutchfield and they showed me this adapter i have to install somewhere in the back seat to add a connection for the subwoofer. I have the 14 speaker set up.

Should i pay for the installation by a profesional, or do it myself. And for any one who added a sub in their trunk, was it ease, or how did it go. Thanks

Get a Pro to do it. Easy for signal - just tap a speaker wire. But power is more problematic because you will have to run a 10 gauge cable from the battery to the amp. Expect some squeaks and rattles after all is said and done. Even from an expert installer. $2500 for the install.

Good luck!

Just have a pro do it. I ran a Kenwood sub amp on 2 JL 12 W3's in a ported box. It bangs very very hard, but my M has the gas tank in between the backseat and the trunk, so I had to remove the factory sub and 2 pieces of aluminum tape from the rear deck. If you dont remove your factory sub, not only will you mess it up, but you wont get much bass up to the front of the car. I had the box recarpeted, amp installed, sub removed, cap installed. All for around 300.00, by a professional.

I don't think it is hard as they make it seem not sure if you have installed many subs before but i know with the bose system you will have to tap into the stock bose amp with a hi/low converter the major thing you will need is the wire diagram for the stock amp so you know what wires to tap into really not that hard once you have that but you will still have the task of running the power wire to the battery and the remote wire should also come off the stock bose amp but g/l with which ever route you take i should be doing my install pretty soon just have to finish the box

I have an apline pdx amp mounted to the back of the seat in the trunk. I took it to a shop but sat around and helped/watched the guy do it.

It's pushing an Alpine type X 12. The install didnt take too long, and it wasnt that difficult.

It isnt difficult at all, if you have a schematic and you know what you are doing. Good luck
