I just received my new S13 harness from Enjuku and I was hoping that someone might be able to clear something up for me. What is this big plug at the left of the picture for?

Also, there are a lot of wires cut near where the ECU goes, but they are all connected using connectors and electrical tape. Is this normal in a used harness? I'd say there are about 15 in all, even though you can't tell from the picture. I'll solder them so that they're done right, just curious is all.

Thanks!

The plug on the left is for your dash harness, but it's awful short. I don't know about the rest of it. Have you tried contacting them?

that plug is for the under dash harness to connect to the computer for the guages etc. The tape is covering up places where the previous user of that harness had a SAFC or something tapped into the computer, doublecheck them for shoddy work and retape them.

No, I have not contacted them. It would really suck if this was my dash connector. On the other hand, I have to extend the other wires, what's another set right?

Anyway, depending on how this post goes over the next 24 hours I'll probably be giving them a call. I just wanted to have my ducks in a row before I did.

Doesnt really matter about the dash harness since it will be spliced into your KA harness. The length is about right.

Ive seen those cuts on a few harness' before so I believe that they may have come out of the factory like that but Ive never seen them in that location. But who knows.

the white plug is for your dash. it won't plug up anyway, you are going to have to use the dash plug of the ka harness and soldier it on. the cut wires are normal as many japanese sr20det owners know that they can go faster with electronic gizmos such as the fdtk 5000 that takes your stock ecu signals and orders pizzas with it.shaunp.s. send me pics of the setup...and of the strip club! (inside joke)

Well it is more like okinomiaki. It has flour, meat, vegetables, cabbage, and stuff and they fry it up on a big grill and it is quite tasty.

Interesting, I noticed that signatures only come up once per thread now...

Kinda pimpy!

Yea, they are changing a lot of stuff. If you noticed, when you post, it now takes you directly back to the thread instead of showing you that intermediate screen.

or you can do it the good way and just take the pinns that go into the connector out of it and then take the KA connector and repinn it and then itll plug and play and you wont have to cut or resolder any wires!!!!!

Thanks slw240sx, that will be my first approach.

Pampadori, that strip club invite is still open! I'll pick you two up once I put the motor in.
