So I am gonna be buying Stance GR+ Pro coilovers and Circuit Sport RUCAs/toe arms very very shortly and thanks to some of you in the technical section I decided to tuck my harness so I dont burn through it. It was my first time really taking apart my car like that so it was a nice learning experience.

Fenders off, harness in stock spot

At this point I was wondering what in the hell I got myself into

Loose harness

Tucked and tied

Fenders back on

So yeah, getting it all off was cake..Half hour job including tucking the harness up. Getting the fenders back on and aligned. TERRIBLE! Took me hours haha...The harness made the fenders fit alot tighter. The passenger side was a smaller harness so it was easy but the driver side I had to remove the plastic cover and then I re-electrical taped it. That made it smaller and then it fit.

I noticed that the conversion was half assed too. Im missing so many nuts and bolts it was stupid. Half the **** wasnt even finger tight. So I completly re-did it and its almost golden...

Lastly....I know I have to hammer a little lip flat so it doesnt shred my tires. Is it that skinny thing hanging down? I dont wanna smash up the wrong thing..

I think I should make a build thread haha

looks good, should change back to pop ups to make up for that half assed conversion:) sileighty not so hot imo. glad to see your going the right way on the tucks tho, i would take it farther with the engine bay too. good luck with your direction and the car.

should have done it after you put on the suspension to see if it's needed. but I guess, you are planning to slam down the car.

And yeah I didnt wanna dump my car and then burn through my harness so I figured I would just be safe and not sorry and not have to worry about it...

That's not too smart. By the time you realize that you will need to relocate it, it's already too late. Plus, it's not a bad idea to do it, regardless.

looks like you haven't pounded in the seams yet, you should do that too to avoid hitting your tire.

The obvious ones are... well, obvious: above the tire, firewall seam, and one running along the inner wheel well between the lca & tie rod.

Which of those do I pound flat? You said something about the firewall but that little lip seems really far back...

If you're talking about rolling your fenders, you'd be pounding the lip on the inside of the fenders flat.

top seam directly above the wheel, the back ones will be fine. Take your time, i heated the metal up some first. Dont forget to use some sealer (paint / clear) to cover up and bare metal spots then to avoid rust.

No I dont mean rolling my fenders. I mean inside the wheel well there is a metal lip that you are supposed to pound flat so that it doesnt rip up your tires when you go low.

I think I know which one it is..Its kinda obvious...And good thinking heating up the metal. I was just gonna use vise grips to bend it and then hammer it flat...

Both. The side one might not be necessary depending on what size and offset your wheels are, but you might as well do it just to be safe.

My harness rubbed the worst when I had just shocks and lowering springs (Sportlines), under body roll. It wasn't as bad with coilovers since they're a lot stiffer, even though the car was a lot lower, but I still waited too long and ended up having to replace the entire chassis harness, and also the interior harness.

I moved the chassis harness from inside the fenders to the engine bay, I don't feel like dealing with wiring again anytime soon, haha.

not bad, but for anyone doing this in the future it might be best to bend the little lip down so that the harness doesnt rub when you move it farther up.

when it was still warm out i was working on my wiring tuck with mrgreeneyes. he's the man with wiring. a lot of people are too intimidated by it though. after my car's back on the ground i'll finish the tuck, but theres a reason teh bundle of wires is so thin in my pic
