I bought a 95 shell (automatic trans originally) with only the fuse box wiring harness in it. Painted and restored the rest of the car. Picked up a motor and 5 speed out of a 96. Motor and wiring is in but wont turn over. It ran fine before being pulled. I heard it. When I turn over the key, I hear a click noise by the driver kick panel which I assume is the relay for the starter? Please help.

So here is the first plug:

back of plug:

what is this and where do I connect it to? The diaphram type black thing missing a hose.

Is this how you jump the harness so it will swap? I dont have the 3 plugs under it connected. Did a 5 speed swap from 96 to a 95 shell with no engine bay wiring left except from fuse box.

and what is this 3 wire plug for? has a thick black wire with yellow? stripe and then (2) yellow with green stripe wires? ends about where the fuse box is.

Well the bottom plug (3 wires) is what was different on the 96 lower harness. The 95 uses a 2 wire plug. I used the 95 plug by wiring it to the 96 harness using the large black/yellow wire and one of the yellow/green wires. Not sure what the other yellow/green wire is for. Maybe I got lucky, maybe its for neutral safety switch? Either way, its running now :-)
Still need to figure out what the black vacumm line thing connects to. I also need to figure out a few other plugs. Great to hear it run though!

The missing hose runs over to under the intake mani, its emissions stuff. Easiest would be to find stock pics of engine bays and compare.
