Installing a 5 point into an s14 and having trouble finding info about the mounting hardware. the shoulder straps will be mounted on the harness bar, and the left lap belt will bolt into the stock seatbelt bolt hole, but for the right lap belt and crotch belt i am having trouble mounting them. I need to know where i can get self tapping 1/2 inch diameter eyebolts? is it possible to get these bolts in a self tapping variety or will i just have to go with a very long bolt and put a nut on it under the car? I havent been able to find many people who have done this before so i am kindof at a loss. i want to make absolutley sure i do this correctly, in the safest way possible. otherwise it would defeat the purpose. :)

The lap belt should bolt to the original locations of the existing seat belt. on the left side [as sitting in the seat] it should attach to the lower mount of the shoulder belt. on the right side it should bolt up to the existing buckle location. you got the upper to with the harness bar right. But I have a question about your croutch belt. does it not have a Y about 1½FT from the buckle. if it does it would mount to the same place as your lap belt mounts.

an alternative to your lap mounts would be the 2 rear seat track mount bolts with a washer in the valley of the mount hole to give a flat surface for the belt mount to sit on.

hmm, maybe you misunderstood? i have replaced the factory seat so i cant attach the right lap belt to that location so i am wondering how to do this. and on the crotch belt to answer your question no it does not, its just a single strap.

interesting all the 5 points I installed where as I described on the center belt [but they were all from the same supplier]. try the alternative method of mounting the lap belt though. the problem with poping a hole in your floor boards is the integrity of the floor panel. if you want the belt to actually save your a$$ in an accident you cant just mount it to the sheet metel floor pan. you need to find something with some support structure to it so it doesnt rip through the floor in an impact. If you are just doing it for looks then the floor pan will do since the other portions of the belts will be sufficent for a highway accident.

I would like it to be legal for SCCA use. Maybe i could just go through the floorboard and use a large backing plate?

also any ideas on the right lap belt?

edit - thanks a bunch for the help btw

As I stated in my first post use the alternative method for the lap belt. Use the rear seat anchors as your mount points for the lap belt.

it was by NASCAR. I dont know about SCCA. You will have to check with your local officals.
