I guess I am retarded because I still don't understand. Are you basically making a CA harness from scratch? Seems to be a hell of a lot more trouble than it's worth. Especially trying to dig up all the odd plugs that are on the CA harness and not found on the KA or other Nissans.bb4_96 wrote:What I'm actually winding up doing is fabricating the ca harness from the KA harness using a ca F-Con plug to a ca18det ecu. and most of the plugs will still work( knock sensor get soldered, injectors, z32 maf plug has to be used, tps). but if you were speaking with reference to using the ka harness on the ca ecu or using the ka ecu and harness to run the ca then no both those ideas would be ridiculous unless you were jim wolf himself. So in theory I would have a harness for $25(F-con harness). To further clarify I have to get a harness because I am building the ca project from a longblock.
The cost of CA harnesses are going to sky rocket. They are rare and highly sought after. With all the knowledge I've obtained over the years of messing with nissan electronic and electrical systems, and though I can probably put one together, I don't think it's worth the headache like c-rad says. I'd rather buy some sort of standalone to save me all the dramas.progman wrote:Hi,
Did you ever make a write up for doing this? I just got ripped off when I bought my engine because they sent me about 6inches of wires coming from my engine instead of the "complete uncut harness". If there is a way to make a ca harness from a ka harness that would be great for me. I have two ka harness' so i can even mess up once.
Thanks
