Hi all, I was wondering about what type of adapter you need to hook an aftermarket radio up to a 1993 Nissan 240. I had an aftermarket deck in there that was stolen. My old one had a little extender type plug that plugged into the cars stock harness and then into the back of the unit (of course the SOB stole that...) He left the antenna adapter though. So does each manufacturer have their own adapter you need for a particular car makes harness or is there an industry standard or something. I am heavily leaning away from just clipping the wires together because I have a lot of other wiring in that compartment at the moment so I would like to keep the radio as tidy as possible. Thanks!

you can get them through crtuchfield. They plug into your factory harness and then you splice inot the harness on the radio..... Sometimes even local places carry them. theyre called metra harnesses.

They cost like $15

Thanks, I was able to get one at a local place. What is the best way to spice it with the harness? I have seen some special types of snap-on connectors in other people's cars, or is soldering better?
