willl a 240sx with hicas make a difference if my ecu dont have it?? its have the abs thing too..let me know...thank.s

I believe it's mechanically driven... pretty sure. So it shouldn't matter what ecu you have as long as you have all the required hicas parts.

hicas has a seperate controller on the passenger side just behind the door under the plastic trim pieces.

are you sticking trying to get rid of or install hicas or just use the ecu from a hicas car?

well ive found a parts car..its hicas..im gonna be taking the main engine harness and ecu maybe..i wont be using the hicas...just need the harness but if the ecu will work ill grab it..let me know.

looking at the fsm shows only one connection between the hicas control unit and the ecu. and that is for engine rpm. which tells me that the two systems are seperate and do not depend on each other to work properly.

so i am 99.9% sure that yes you will be fine using the hicas ecu in your non hicas car.

while your at it you may want to switch out the steering rack as hicas racks are supposedly a little quicker in their turning ratio.
