Hello everyone.I was just searching at crutchfield.com today and I came across a harman kardon gps in dash unit,w/ cd and receiver..It retails for $1500,but they have it marked down to $499.I'm looking for a new headunit, and the price isn't too bad.I was just wanting to know if anyone has eperience with it? I would like to has a gps unit in my car.And how about the SQ of the unit. Will it be just as good as my nakamichi?I just want to know if you can put in the exact address of the location you want to go to and it will give you perfect directions. Thanks

i wouldn't expect this deck to have better SQ than your nak, very few decks can compare. one thing that's cool about this harmon kardon is that it has 5 sets of 3V pre-outs, 2 front, two rear, and one center/sub preout. so if you got money for 5 amps, then cool :pface

it will give you exact directions to any given address, and shows total travel distance/ETA. only thing is it doesn't come with an LCD screen to give you a nice view of the map. although $500 is pretty cheap, i don't know if i'd sacrifice the nak for it. if you're gonna get GPS get a headunit with a built in 7" LCD screen or somethin.

Well see I just sold the nak,and I was planning on running a stock cd player until I figure out the system I want to run.I just thought it was a pretty good deal, being 66% off. I really liked the nak,it was super simple in looks and sounded great. I kinda at a draw between a blingin dvd monitor or something simple again in looks like the nak to keep down the chance of someone stealing it. My idea system would be a new ppi 5 channel, diamond audio components, and probably a single 12" sub.I realy don't know what kind of sub to run at this time.I'm not looking for extreme SQ or anything.I just want some nice clean bass. I was thinkin about either a ID MAX or maybe a jl 12w6v2

either of those subs are good SQ subs, don't forget Elemental Designs either, since they're in the same price range...
