I just purchased a 2006 M35x and there is hardly no air coming through the seats. I have replaced the filters under the seats, but still only very little air is felt when the switches are set to high.
I used to have a Ford Expedition with ventilated seats and you could really feel the different air speeds. When I set the M35x switch to low or medium, I can't feel anything, and just a very very little air movement on high. Any ideas?

Steve

Is it that you "don't feel air" or that your seats don't get cold after a while? Because there is a difference. They should get ice cold without "feeling air". After all, they are seat coolers not seat ventilators.

... yes Antz, they do take longer to ice than I'd like - but better than nothing!

can you hear noise under your seat? if so, you might want to check to see if the perforations in your seat cushions are clogged up or blocked, i remember one of our old members who did a swap out of his seat cushions/foam noticed that the foam infiniti used was very "breathable" so that could be the problem too.

Thanks everyone for some great ideas to check. Actually the seat does get cold, I was just expecting the 3 position switch to be "fan speeds' instead of degree of coldness.

The the position switch is fan speeds in fact and be sure a/c is ON if its not in the on position and set to cold temperature as well already! :gotme

Actual air should be coming out. Should should feel it up your back.

BUT, the air does come out via ventilated breathable tunnels/tubes that is built into the foam. Depending on weight and use, the foam in the seat will collapse, and therefore reducing the amount of air flow. Due to the breathable foam, the seats will still get cold, but the amount of air flow will be reduced with age and wear.

CONSIDERING that you know the fan is blowing, then your best option is to replace the foam on the bottom of the seat with a new piece, or find a junk with an 07, 08, 09, climate controlled seat, with low miles (little use) and replace lower seat cushion.

My 06 used to blast air on high, I felt it on my back, butt, and crotch/hamstrings. Now, 7 years later, it feel very low air on my lower back. That's it. And seat cushions are not covered under the extended warranty, only the ventilation components.

Hope this helps.

yup, that is exactly what I got. Just a little air on the lower part of my back. I am overweight so this is probably the issue.

Thanks to all!!!

Steve
