so i bought this truck a week ago for $2000 from the original owner he kept it clean and well documented the truck is a 90 with 83k miles on it (mostly sat in the alley behind his house) he just installed new timing chain guard and tentioner, tires, rims, deck, and speakers.

how it was when i bought itbad boy was sittin high

then i lowered it (tortion bar for now spindles later) and blocks

then i bought some vht nightshades and you know...

then i put on some window covers and tinted the windows

then i shaved the valve cover, took out the intake tubing, and got new plugs and wires and played with the timing a little bit

then i installed some sunpro gauges oil pressure, battery, water temp.

my wanted parts listNGR quick release wheelt-rex billet grillecxracing turbo kitkoyo radoil coolerbucket seatshandbrake conversionfull exhaust

i found this picture and im aiming for this

then photoshop ftmfw

That red truck towards the bottom has a very cool hat on the throttle body, it looks custom. MAF sensor is inside the TB, so IDK how it performs under boost, I thought the MAF went before the turbo inlet. Maybe its been deleted, and it just runs MAP, again IDK. Hand brake would be gnarley. Drifting with the short wheelbase will be trickier than if it were an extended cab or longbed model. Airride suspension would allow on the fly adjustability. You can run coilovers if you have tubular control arms. stock steering tends to be sloppy in different areas. Its not old Ford sloppy, but its not as tight as a ZQ8 S-10 either, I always wondered how hard it would be to use the steering box from an S-10 Xtreme. A member on here a few months back was talking about mounting a rack and pinion where the centerlink usually exists, using custom rack mounts of course. IDK what ever became of that, or if anyone else has done it. You will have wheelspin and axle wrap with a turbo, there are solution(s) for both. IDK if 1990 models came with a stock front stabilizer bar or not, but one can bolt on from a Pathfinder, or another HB.

i dont think i would be drifting it much considering the truck doesnt have power steering, the reason for the hand brake would mostly be egronomics.and for the rear suspension im sure i could fab up some anitwrap bars.

and if any one could tell me what the thing on the left of the carb hat is that would be appriciated

and where i can get a carb hat that will work for the d21 would be cool too

Oh, I forgot that the earlier HB's had manual steering, but thats cool, more power for the road!

IDK, what the hell that thing is on the side of the TB hat. Its not a carb BTW. You can carb it, but you'de need a distribuor solution. I actually designed a carb manifold, heres the thread zer...aps-z If you read the whole thread, you will see that its only on paper at the moment, and there are two different designs. I like the second one better. Carbed ka24's do exist, though, mostly in Guam, and places like that.

My 97 4x4 came stock with a Calsonic aluminium/plastic end cap radiator. You must have a brass/copper unit. The benefits of an aluminium radiator over copper/brass is kind of overrated. If you are mostly stock, your perfromance dollars are better spent elsewhere. I guess just get a Calsonic one like I got.

I think WeaponR makes an intake hat/cold air duct exactly like the one in that picture. http://www.4x4parts.com sells them

Heres also a link to my electric fan thread. zer...c-fan

There are some good threads in the archives here, you should take the time to scroll through them. There are too many things to write here all at once.

i know its not a carb i just thought that was the name of the hat (carb hat)

and the reason i want to run a koyo rad is because i live in so cal and when im driving 75 down the freeway in 110 degree weather with the ac on the temp creeps up a little to high

i want to run a koyo with a push fan on the front and a pull fan on the rear. that coupled with the oil cooler should solve my little problem.

thanks for the link to the tb hat but i cant find it in there....

now i just need to find where to get a koyo that will fit the truck and i can start rollin on this thing

FenderBender Interataional makes CAIs for your truck, and the lid over the throttle body is similar to the one pictured. Google them.

Nice find! I can't believe how low the mileage is. You can check with the guys in my signature to see if they have the seats you are looking for.

Window vent covers look good what brand and cost? Also I have seen the bug guards for hood that look bad, too high and cheap, anyone know the low profile clean looking one by brand? I need one bad but no one carries it, so it is an order and i do not want the big honking one.

Hey you can do what i did, i bought a rad. for a 90 S13 240sx, almost bolts right up. My rad. is a CXRacing rad and it came with the shroud and two electirc fans. Then i went to advance auto and bought a electric fan switch so the fans would come on.

CXRacing rad. with shroud and fans off ebay $300 shippedElectric fans switch $40 advance auto.

Where did you get the idea on the Pathfinder fenders - what year should I look for? What car exhaust was your donor? What toyota bumper fits?

If you can't tell - I am a noob.....

any pathfinder 91-95 i believe dont quote me though you can tell by lookin, the seats are a direct bolt in aswell.the exhaust i had welded up at a shop cost like 100 bones the muffler i took off another car. toyota tacoma and 4 runner 91-94 fits dont guote that either.

Any year pathy will work. If you look really hard you may be able to find the passenger side w/o the antenna hole. $wd d21 fenders are the same. I used 95 pathy buckets for my 94 std cab. Any buckets seat from a pathy or king cab will bolt right in. The bolts should already be in you truck for the inside of both seats.

Exhaust is no biggie i used a 2" flowmaster (check your local junk yard )and had it tucked up next to the frame so it would interfere with my lowering job. Mine dumps out behind the left rear tire just outta sight from the rear or side.

I have the toy front bumper and you can use 90-93 (most common) 2wd bumper and light. Go To Fender Bender Int'l for the brackets $60 and they're designed for this swap. They also sell the whole kit complete with light for $299 I think for chrome.

The air filter idea is cool, but it would be better with the k&n, which has a hard plastic cover built into it.

The mickey mouse mirrors remind me of an old Skyline, kind of. IDK how well that style will hold up an a HB though.

I like the 3-gauge pod.

And how is your e-fan fastened to the radiator? I guess it might not be a big deal, the fan looks lightweight. One thing I like about the fan is that it's small and efficient. Alot of people get e-fans that are just overkill and draw way too many amps. The stock cooling system is more than plenty for the stock engine, and so requires less help from a fan, (at least in my climate). My 4lb fan is fastened to the shroud, but you obviously don't have a shroud.

yea i just saw one of those and i think im goin k&n soon

and the mirrors are pretty beefy i used extra bolts to hold into the fender...

and the e fan is fastened to the rad using some radiator fasteners i found at auto zone there like 6-7 inches long and slide through and fasten on the back side. works well i just want to make a shroud for it...
