http://www.gaugepods.com will manufacture a gauge pillar pod specifically for 86.5-97 Nissan Hardbodies and 87-95 Nissan Pathfinders IF we get 20 pre-paid orders. We're already pretty close to that but we're still a couple shy of 20.
The specifics on the gauge pods themselves are that we all have to choose either a 3 pod design or a 2 pod design that has a factory style tweeter area. The tweeter type would require the use of a factory grille or grille cloth, the grille itself is not included with the pillar. There will only be ONE mold built so we'll all be getting the same type. I have sent a pathfinder A-pillar trim piece with a tweeter to them to use to build the prototype. The pods will look something the ones in the picture below, it was taken from their website.
In addition to the trim piece, I sent three other pieces of pathfinder/truck interior trim for use as color samples. I sent dark gray, dark blue, and dark red. I've still got to collect some of the other colors to send so that all factory color options are available. The pieces are made in black but can be painted the factory color for an addition cost.
The price quote we have received is as follows:
The price quote for the 2 gauge, tweeter design is $49.99
The price quote for the 3 gauge, no tweeter design is $54.99
The unit comes in standard black with the option for interior color matching for an additional $7.99
Once the pre-order is over, they will be available for everybody at their website for the same price.
