Hope someone can help me out here.

So I just got done rebuilding my HB engine and installed it last week. When I cranked it, it barely would crank. Sound like a dead battery. But the pitch of the crank would would change from high to low, cranks were in sets of two with a couple seconds in between. So I decided to change out my starter cable cause end was jacked up. After replacing the cable I cleaned off all grounds. Get back in and nothing will work but the head lights, dash light, interior light.

My ecu isn't getting power, top roll of fuse block has no power,

So I checked ignition switch and have 6v on white/red strip wire, rest of the pins show continuity, when I flip the key on the 6v on the one wire goes to continuity.

I have bypassed fusible links and still get the same issue. I jumpped 3 and 5 for ecu relay, my ecu comes on but has no effect on fuse panel or key switch.

Does anyone have any ideals for me. If I ground my test light to test top roll fuse in box, they all show continuity. Thanks

I'm going to run new ground straps. Mine are pretty dirty, but I did clean contact points good. Looking over wire diagram, is one wire going straight from battery to the key switch? Just want make sure I'm following it correctly.

Would it be wrong to think a main hot wire is grounded out with all the top roll fuse showing continuity when I ground to the body.
