each time i switch gears the shifter kinda gets stuck on nuetral and i have to give it a bit of force to switch gears.
Espicialy gear one is a bit of a problem to me. When im in gear 2 and go back to gear 1 the stick gets stuck and i have to give it a little bit of force to put it in gear.
anyone know why this is happening?
Ive recently just installed a new clutch kit and for about a week the car was shifting nice. But now this just started happening.
*EDIT* This only happens when the car is moving. On idle im able to move into gears no problem.
i did the same thing and my transmission is doing the same thing ya i think it is the synchros but ive also gotten speculation that a bad clucth/clutch job can do it ill be watching this thread
sorry i am such a noob but wat the hell are synchros?
are they hard to replace? where is it located?
this kinda sucks because sometimes when i change gears it gets stuck on neutral and i accidently let off the clutch and end up grinding the gears. I know thats not good so i would like to fix this up asap.

i cant exactly picture how real synchronisers work but basically they align to transfer the gears power because the gears never seperate heres an animation http://auto.howstuffworks.com/transmission3.htm ..........the simple answer is there between the gears in the transmition and to replace them a transmition rebuild is neccesary. to replace them is like replacing connection rods in an engine
it's not that comlicated actually. just time consuming. there are a lot of parts in the trans buts thats not too big of a deal if you take your time. just keep your parts organized... i tried searching for replacement synchros once but didn't find anything.
fyi synchros are next to each gear except for reverse. the shift forks that you move with the shifter move sleeves around that spline over them to lock into the chosen gear.
