How hard and expensive is it to remove the "Altima" and "2.5" badges/labels from the back of the nissan altima coupe?

i've never done it before but there are a lot of people who have and ill just tell you instead of a thousand people saying "thats what the search is for" (i hate the search too) lol pretty much what ive heard is that its very easy. take a blow dryer or hair dryer (what ever you want to call it) and a lot of people tried using floss to take it off. then just clean very good to get all the sticky stuff off and wax your car..... will look like it was never there

it's super easy and cheap.

What I did was1. spay alittle WD40 (optional just loosens the glue)2. heat it up with a hair dryer3. use the dental floss (or fishing line) with a sawing motion to take of fthe letters4. peel off the remainder of the tape (more WD can help)5. give the area alittle wax

another point is Clay bar THEN wax

first the clay bar can help ensure all the layers of garbage is gone and the wax will protect it

It takes about 5-10 min. Dont spray WD-40 on your paint like the poster below mentioned. Not smart. Use 4 or 6lbs fishing line. Run it behind the badge and move it back and forth -- like flossing yer teeth. Then just take your finger and roll up the little bits of black rubber/tack that remain. No scratches, no chemicals - no worries.

the badges is simple i took mine off just by peeling them off no left over adhesive at all. the burger in the center Ive been told there is a hole. I'd love to take that off too but cant afford to repaint my car. spot painting blows when you have a winterFROST car that pearl is impossible to match.

HAD TO EDIT FOR THE SUPER COOL FORUM KIDS. carry on...

I took my Alitma and 2.5s off with just Dental floss between the glue and the badge then wiped the excess glue off with my finger and washed it then but some wax on it.

if you car is new, just take some strong fishing line and floss between the badge and glue, and then with your finger just rub off the excess rubber/glue. The wash the area off with soap and water.

super easy. I just used some floss and heated the badges a lil bit with a hair dryer and they came right off.

let your car sit in the sun mid afternoon and let it get all super burning hot.

That made my double sided tape super mushy.

I used plain old dental floss and sawed back and forth on the letters and the nissan hamburger till it came off.

Then you just peel off the left over double sided tape and it comes off super easy for me in the heat.

Then wash, and if you have a clay bar thats great if not o well. mine left like zero mess.

DO NOT USE WD-40 OR GOO GONE!!!!!!! I cannot stress this enough!

Even when the glue is cold, it's still pliable enough to peel it off with a soft plastic scraper. When you're done, make damn sure you wax that area well. I completely agree with the poster who mentioned taking a clay bar to the area, but failing that you should at least wax it.

No holes behind the nissan hamburger on the back.

It is the hardest to take off compared to the others though becuase theres alot more tape used.

took me 20 minutes to take off all my back badges including the hamburger. My brother did it in 10 minutes.

It's very easy, and it's free!

I took all the badges off, and the hamburger nissan logo and I think it made the car looks A LOT better!

Hair Dryer, Floss, Fishing Line...

Only need a Credit/Debit Card to remove the Emblems. Just make sure your Coupe is Dry.
