The wastegate might be trashed. Deltagates are not known for their reliability.

Better not get on it anymore, or you'll end up like me.

check what color spring is in the wastegate. my deltagate came with 3 different springs and was boosting to 10-12psi which blew my stock motor. come to find out the wrong spring for my was in there.

Structure240sx you blew up your motor at 12 psi? What kinda of fuel management did you have? How long did you run it at that psi before it blew up?

8:1 fmu and base timing at 16 degrees, enough for 8psi. about a month it last but thats because it was blowing out the spark until the last couples days it lived

structure, do you think that the spark issue attributed to your engine failure. Im wrestling with that problem right now.

i think my spark issue was saving my engine for a the first month i had the turbo on. since the spark was blowing out (about 4500+rpm wot) there wasnt as much stress as the full 11psi would have made. as soon as i closed the gap on the plugs to fixed the problem the engine went the next day

hmmm, maybe I shouldnt fix my problem thenout of curiosity, what do you think it was that blew the motor. did you run lean, or did it just stress out, and at what rwhp approx. was this on a T3 or hybrid T3/T4?

edit: I just read your car domain site, so you were running a T3T4 with FMU and at 11 psi it blew. that sounds a lot like you were running REALLY lean. fuel pressure must have been incredible. I suppose I shouldnt worry too much on a T3 with 8:1 FMU, and only 5-7psi. Ill get it fixed.

btw, how is the Manual Boost Controller, I have been having thoughts about going with one, but am concerned about overboosting, and the MBC seems to have a lot of potential to creep. just curious about your experiences with it.

A spark blowing out should have no ill effects on a motor. no combustion takes place when this occurs.
