As some of you my G can never fill up unless there is less than one half of tank of gas remained. I decided fix this nuisance. No big deal, I thought, just follow Infiniti TSB 1SC29. Ordered the fuel pump o ring and FLV cover online, the original o ring is still in good shape, still elastic after 50k some miles. I could have reused it, but since I have ordered a new one so I replaced it.

I have found two things contradicting the TSB, first I couldn't use right arm to do it, I had to use left arm. second I seriously think in second photo of the TSB the text insert "passage side" should have been driver side, there is no way I could do it the way TSB instructs. I had hard time to snap the top of the cover on, I could only squeeze it hard but didn't feel any click until it refused going in any further. The lower part was easy, I could rotated the cover a bit though, as the TSB asked. It's stuck on the valve pretty good. I hope I did it right.

Haven't tested it yet, but I have to refuel it on the next trip. I'll report back how it goes.

As how to remove fuel pump youtube has an excellent video, just google:

The parts cost $46.99. The hard part of the job was to maneuver the cover in place since the valve is above the driving shaft hump, and there is a litter space only, but fortunately I have relatively small hands.

Hope this helps out those want to do it themselves.

problem is gone! Fuel light was on so I filled it up, filled 12 gallons stopped, then all the way till up. total 16.xx filled in. It didn't stop, no problem taking it. Fuel gauge needle got all the way beyond F, first time since day one.

I think the TLV cover has raised the valve by squeezing into the space between the valve and gas tank hump. It got pushed down by the valve, rested pretty tightly.

I want to see next time if I can fill up from more than 1/2 tank full, not when fuel light turns on. I wonder if it makes any difference.
