I am trying to fix the bugs on my rebuilt ka24de. WHen you start the engine it doesn't just light up. It takes a few seconds and it goes up to around 700K then to 2000k like normal. It jumps. Wierd.

Also when the car is idling, usually when it is warm, the car bumps a little bit every few seconds. No sounds or rattle freom the engine.

Then sometimes when I am slipping out the clutch when I am starting out the car sort of hesitates or sometimes drops the RPM's real fast. Usually at 1500RPM or 1100RPM when I am letting out the clutch. It does not always do this though. Weird again.

I have checked all the vacume hoses, air sensors and they all *seem* to be fine. Could it still be that, or something else?

I tried finding a leak again and no luck. I pulled out the 4 spark plugs, one at a time and it got worse. So it isn't a piston.

The car only idles like that when it is warm. So when the idle goes under 1000RPM. It starts of every few seconds to every second when it gets to 700RPM. When it bumbles it dips down to 600-500RPM.

As for the starts, it isn't really hard. It starts right up when you turn the key. You don't have to hold it to start. It's just when it does start it jumps up a bit and then down and then up. Not just up like normal.

if your sure there is no air leaks then all i can recommend is cleaning out the idle control valve, its under the intake runners on the left side, not an easy job.

check the AIV valve on the right side of the engine, that could be throwing exhaust into your intake.

Yep. Those are the next things I have to do -_-. Shouldn't take to long this time now that I know how to take it off and get to the bolts.

Could it also be the CPU? Could it just go bad after I put the engine together? It is for a AT and I have a MT since I did the swap.
