Soooo. Went on a trip out of state with my lady yesterday. And the dreaded hard start issue began. Did some searching and found people were having problems with the fpr. But did not find any info on its location. Have any of you changed the part yourself. My car is out of warranty. Thanks for any info

It is under the rear seat on the passenger side inside the gas tank attached to the fuel pump. See if you can get service bulletin NTB07-094c.
Mine is also acting up but I plan to wait until I get closer to the end of my warranty period. It appears to me that after many years Nissan still does not have this problem permanently solved. In the meantime, I turn on the ignition as soon as I get in the vehicle and then buckle up and then try to start; this gives the fuel pump extra time to pressurize the system.

I had this problem when I had only 8000km's on the car, issue was taken care of by the dealer. If there is some type of service bulletin on the car maybe they would cover it??

I had the issue too. Mine is an 08 model. Brought it into Nissan in Sept 09, and it was fixed under warranty.
