I have a 90 240 fastback, 5 speed manual. Ever since i bought the car, it has gone into gear kind of hard. i push the clutch all the way to the floor, and when i try to pusyh the shifter into first, second, or third it is like i have to fight it. But, if i pump the clutch, and lift the clutch back up with my foot a couple of times, it will get a little better. I have owned the car since april, and it is just now starting to get bad. does anyone know what it might be? my dad says i might have to bleed my clutch lines, but i was going to ask for ideas here first. thanks

I forgot to mention one other thing. this problem only occurs if the car is on, when the car is turned off everything works just fine

My guess is that its just old. Bleed the clutch lines and change your gear oil, that should help. If its still a struggle, you might need a rebuild, although I'm not positive. Mine can be difficult to put in gear, but I need to change the gear oil, and my transmission is in need of a rebuild.
