Sometimes my 240 just feels like there is a huge weight or restriction when trying to pull out or move in first gear. It makes me have to ride the clutch longer and rev higher (up to 2500rpm) to fully get rolling in first gear. If I don't rev as high or ride the clutch as long then you get that bogging/jumping like the engine isnt getting enough gas and your about to stall.

This occurs very often, sometimes it just kind of goes away after a long drive, but the first drive of the day is when its the worse...I cant seem to figure it out, I initially thought it was seized brakes restricting my car from rolling as easy but I fixed them and its still doing the same. It makes my car feel slower when I'm driving.

Just thought you guys can give some ideas here, this has been going on for quite some time..
Thanks

This is something you only experience in first gear? If you attempt a 2nd gear start it behaves normally? A sticking park brake sounds most likely but...

My first suspicion would be a seized brake cable not allowing the linkage to release properly. The fact that it improves with driving pretty much eliminates the trans, driveshaft, or diff.

Thanks for the input bro. I might try letting her sit in 1st during the night to see if it makes a difference in morning driving. Ill keep doing this to test your theory. This should keep the e-brake cable on slack and maybe it would make a difference, i don't know :/

Uhh, no.

Leaving it in gear isn't the issue. He's saying, it sounds like your e-brake is sticking.

If you'r ready to pull off the rear wheels and get your hands dirty, we can show you how to check.

He has the right idea Greg. If he doesn't set the e brake it should stay slack. I'm not 100% convinced that the brake is the problem but it seems to be the most likely given the info.

well I've tried my idea and didn't set the ebrake last night, and this mornings drive was alot smoother. Ill try it a bit longer and if it fails then I'm going to check the cable

Sounds like that's the problem. You can try to lubricate it but eventually you'll probably have to replace it.
