Any of you guys work for a data recovery firm? My Seagate hard drive failed before I could transfer data to another hard drive. It's a mechanical failure, so any ideas would be useful at this point. Thanks in advance........

Good luck. I knew a guy who had to recover baby pictures (his firstborn) from a HDD that suffered a mechanical failure. I'm pretty sure it cost him in the realm of $400 to do so. Off the top of my head I don't remember what service he used. I'd could try to track him down if you'd like, though I'm pretty sure most companies will be about the same.

There are many data recovery places in FL. Just track one down, and send your drive in... Depending on the Gigs of data, your prices for the repair, or to get the data off, will be high... Good luck!
